One Vision at St Davids Church Exeter – 16th November 2010
The beautiful church of St David’s was host to a sizeable crowd who’d braved the chill and heavy Exeter traffic due to the Christmas light switch-on to hear Katheryn Trenshaw talk on her passionate presence work.
With a background in psychology, art therapy and a lifetime’s experience, Katheryn enthuses that passionate presence helps us to be more truly ourselves without having to contort to falsehoods and expectations and that we’re perfect just as we are without the need to be made better or healed. Sounds pretty good to me so far!
Like a snake shedding it’s skin, we need to be open to vulnerability and to keep asking ourselves “are we opening or closing” and “what is our passion, what makes our hearts sing?”
Illustrating her talk with a slideshow of her stunningly colourful artwork, Katheryn invited us to be fully present with our “energetic team support” by engaging with our haras, hearts and heads. As someone who is far too “heady” I’ve found this practise invaluable. It reminds me to come back into m y body and be more grounded. I find I’m better informed and more true to myself when my entire “team” shows up. For further information on Katheryn’s Passionate Presence courses, visit http://www.ktrenshaw.com
I found Katheryn’s talk enjoyable and useful. She’s a great speaker with the true wisdom of someone who really walks their walk and talks their talk. The next talk hosted by One Vision at St Davids will be on the 18th of January 2011 with Elliott Cowan on the wisdom of plant spirit medicine.
