The Federation of Healing Therapists is the leading organisation in the UK providing support, information, training and insurance for a wide range of holistic, beauty and sports therapists. Various support groups meet regularly across the country and this was the first for the newly re-vamped Bristol group headed up by Helen Dyson.
It was an informal and informative evening with the emphasis on it being “our group” and how we wanted it ran and facilitated. It was lovely to meet other therapists and discover the existence of stone cold massage and no hands massage. I love the huge range of therapies that are out there these days and delight in the choice that they offer. How lucky are we to live in an age when there is so much available to us?
It was also great to find out about the forthcoming FHT 50th Anniversary Training Conference and Exhibition that’s being held in Warwickshire in July with a fabulous selection of speakers and workshops. And also to find out more about the FHT programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
It was my first time at the Witches Brew cafe and holistic centre. Owned by the fabulous Nicky Marshall, it offers healing in the form of snacks, cake and drinks as well as massage, reflexology, reiki, life coaching and mediumship readings in its two therapy rooms. Its really great that somewhere like this exists on a mainstream high street.
I’d also like to big up Nicky for her “Do Something” tour which has a fund raising event at Clutton village hall on Saturday 31st March in aid of Above and Beyond which raise funds for Bristol hospitals. The evening will be a mix of psychic games, spirituality, fun, inspiration and chocolate. Ffi: http://dosomethingclutton.eventbrite.com
